...back when (a lot of my stories start that way) we were working long hard hours down at the phone factory we had Ramian Noodles from time to time. They were referred to as a bowl of rubberbands.

I never had much freeze-dried food. I wish I did. Freeze-drying is the very best way to preserve just about anything. I would love to own a freeze dryer, but they cost a few thousand dollars and I don't know enough about them as yet.

What I have is numerous buckets of dehydrated food. I've tried several of the meals and haven't been impressed. That's being kind. If I were starving, I'd eat them, but I'm not that desperate. There are cattail roots out there under the snow in my bog, and Evergreen bark I could scrape to get what I need for a zesty tea. They are both more tempting to me right now than the dehydrated bucket food.
