Re: "The problem goes beyond Norfolk — a report commissioned by the Navy found that 56 Naval facilities worth a combined $100 billion would be threatened if the sea level rose about 3 feet."

A disturbing prospect indeed. After all, per NOAA, "Sea level continues to rise at a rate of about one-eighth of an inch per year." http://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/sealevel.html

Yikes! That means that the oceans will have risen 3 feet resulting in catastrophic damage to the Navy's facilities in just288 Years!!!

Assuming, that is, that they continue to rise at the same rate - which I am certain that they won't since we are totally clueless about how ocean levels fluctuate with the solar cycles and plate tectonics.

So, kudos to you for an excellent job of fear mongering. I'm over here quaking in my snow-covered boots (with laughter) at your ridiculously STUPID post.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
