I hate that I might need to defend myself with lethal force, but I'd rather do that than have someone explain to my husband that he's a widower because I was not allowed to do so.

Welp, there's something I wouldn't hate. If there's somebody trying to kill me, I would not hesitate to blow them away. Self-preservation.

Unfortunately, this is what it is going to take to feel safe in our own country.

Let's have armed guards in movie theaters, schools, mini-marts, et al.

Or, if you prefer, let's have people take responsibility for their own defense and safety.
