That sounds like a lot, but the gusts are only 62 mph. Sustained is probably 45 mph or less... so it's not that strong of a wind.

I don't know why waves would make an island shake. But in any case, most earthquakes can't even be felt. Maybe there WAS an earthquake. Has that been considered?
