1. Notre Dame is a good football team. They likely are not great because they have not really played anybody and NO, Syracuse is over rated vastly.
2. UCF (university of Central Fklorida) was FUN to watch as they shredded the Bearcats last night. I was impressed with their SPEED and defensive linemen as well as the quarterback who is extremely accurate and they do have a really excellent passing game. The running back is LIGHTS OUT with speed. Raw speed this back has is mind blowing...
SO they in my opinion are UNDER RATED and I would really like to see them playing some TOP TEN RANKED teams and see how they fare...
DO they belong in the college playoffs? Doubtful. BUT I do think they may well be as good as teams ranked from number 5 on...
I believe the BOG TEN will deservedly get left out of the college playoffs this year. Even if the Buckeyes beat Michigan and then win the conference championship game over Northwestern, they still in my opinin are not as consistently good as the other four who should be in Bama, Georgia, Clemson, Notre Dame. Maybe better than ND but we won't know.
Next weekend is Ohio State against Michigan. Should be another great game unless the buckeyes defense does not show up like they didn't yesterday. That was pathetic and if I was URBAN, the defensive coordinator would be gone today and some "starters" would not be second string and give the backups who actually WANT TO PLAY with INTENSITY a shot.... Why not? The defense could not be any worse..
Lastly, the Buckeyes NEED defensive front line like what ALABAMA, Clemson, Georgia, LSU have... Dominant defensive linemen who wreak havoc in the opponents run game and backfield...
Today, the Bengals will get their butts whipped again. NO DEFENSE. Offense is good despite missing half the starting skill position players and all pro AJ Green and Tyler Eifert and Tyler Kroft, both very talented tight ends.
