Congrats and welcome to the year 2018. My entire home is full of LED light bulbs for that very reason. Second reason is that they will last a very long time compared to incandescent bulbs. That low wattage consumption is great but the LUMENS seem to be much greater and brighter as well. Makes a huge difference...

and when the heater is on and I turn on ONE of the old lights and can hear the heater bog down. They draw a lot of juice 40 watts. This are 6 watts total.each light. Very nice............
