WOW. So, this asswipe, Eric Swalwell, implies support for using nuclear weapons on American citizens who will not willingly give up their Second Amendment rights, and then he has the gall to suggest that he's "sure if we talked we could find common ground"???!!! Ah, Eric ... I've got two words for ya, pal ... they start with the letters "F" and "O."

Then, like many clueless Democrats, Swalwell proves his complete and utter ignorance of the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. The Second Amendment was explicitly put into The Constitution to ensure that American citizens retained the wherewithal to physically fight against a federal government that became tyrannical. THAT is the Second Amendment's reason for even being, you dolt. Educate yourself, already!

I would be curious as to how he plans to 'force' gun owners to give up any weapons. After all, gun owners can shoot back...

WASHINGTON — A Democratic congressman has proposed outlawing “military-style semiautomatic assault weapons” and forcing existing owners to sell their weapons or face prosecution, a major departure from prior gun control proposals that typically exempt existing firearms.

In a USA Today op-ed entitled “Ban assault weapons, buy them back, go after resisters,” Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., argued Thursday that prior proposals to ban assault weapons “would leave millions of assault weapons in our communities for decades to come.”
