I haven't done that yet. Folks out here have told me that when you start the wood stove, you keep it burning constantly until April. I'm not sure that my wood will last that long so I don't want to use it until it's REALLY cold. Maybe toward the end of December. Maybe sooner. The forecast calls for a low of 16° on Wednesday.

Right now, the house is still being warmed with oil. That will be the backup heat source once the stove starts being used.

Hmm. Now that I think of it, I should probably have the oil tank refilled before the snow comes.
