Re: “Ask anyone in the band where there powerful sound came from, and they'd all give you the same answer: drummer John Bonham.”

Some bands are more supportive of their drummers than others.

In 1990, when Dave Grohl joined Nirvana, Kurt Cobain phoned bassist Krist Novoselic to excitedly tell him, "We just landed the best drummer in the world!" (I had to paraphrase this. I couldn't find the actual quote.)

Dave Grohl later founded the Foo Fighters. He thought so highly of his band's drummer that, in the making of their second album, 'The Colour and the Shape', he subversively assembled the entire band sans drummer, William Goldsmith, in Los Angeles to re-record the whole thing . . . with himself on drums. Goldsmith was humiliated and quit the band.

Then there was this:

Reporter: "Do you consider Ringo to be the best drummer in world?"

John Lennon: "Ringo isn't even the best drummer in the Beatles."

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
