I don't remember if I took the ACT or just the SAT.
If you were applying to many schools, even while living in Miami, that would have to be the reason your guidance counselor suggested it.
In retrospect, I'm sure glad they didn't have the ACT test when I went to high school.
And now, nacl, the testing situation in the school systems are completely out-of-hand.
Nobody is learning anything, as they're all studying for the next test.
