Kathy> We may have to disagree on this path to citizenship.

Me> I would much rather prefer this to crossing the borders illegally and SUING us for Amnesty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. WE OWE them nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they agree to put their lives on the line for US, That says a lot of their sincerity,,,,,,,,,,,,AT least to me............

If ya are going to come to this country to be part of it, Do it LEGALLY........HELL we are ALL immigrants, aren't we.......... I am Scotch Irish and German...... HAAAAAAAAAAAA My granny, rest her soul is full blown German. She was a seamstress all her life and one day we was over to her house and she got her boob, she called it her ninieboo caught in an old space fan where the grill was minimal, and when that happened was the first time i heard my granny swear in German, I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF. She didn't like that,,,,,,,,,,,,Too funny

Thing that pizzes me off is, I don't know what we had to do to come here 100's of years ago, but i do know what we did and made of this country from then on. This new wave just wants to come here, get their free pass into the country, Their EBT card, free housing, free medical, etx etx , WE didn't have that luxury, did we?????????

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

35,000 non-citizens serve in the military and about 8,000 enlist every year.

I do know this, as the honey served with non-citizens a couple/few years ago.

---------------------

because it does offer a path to citizenship.

and I have become a cynic.
-----------------------

1862 and 2000, more than 660,000 military veterans became citizens through naturalization.

ok, I can't question Leslie Lord at U.S. Army Human Resources Command, but I know I have CARAVAN on my brain.
When I was recently in the E.R., there was a female non-citizen who was on Medicaid - and she wanted the balance due sent to Mexico. For me, it's just "enough is enough already."

especially a spouse, who is not a U.S. citizen

and on my brain, again.

We may have to disagree on this path to citizenship.

I would think they're being properly vetted, but we're talking about the US Govt.
