said, I did record an entire one hour 50 minute performance of Bernstein's Mass (Leonard Bernstein composed West Side Story)

I am embarrassed to admit that I am not familiar with Bernstein's Mass, although I do know of Leonard Bernstein and I certainly remember West Side Story.
----------------

It's one act! Everyone's bladder was about to burst by the time it ended...

HAHAHA - that struck me funny - and I am so grateful that I was not in charge of wiping those seats. They should have signs outside the performance area warning you to go to the facilities beforehand. You would, of course, miss the show because the line would be so long!

If there are copyright issues, AS A PAYING PARENT, can't you buy a video of it?

but much of it is a sleeper. (There's a reason you probably haven't heard of it.)

Welp, it might be a sleeper, but I'll live if there is someone in it that I know.

The "why" is that he's been fascinated with Japan and Japanese (the language) since Middle School. He was teaching himself the language for years.

I want to order a kid like this.

Why Japanese? I'm not sure. He considers it a beautiful language.

Now that I think of it, this does sound familiar. I think it's a beautiful language too, but I no longer have the energy to take a course.

That's really kind of you to say. Thanks!

It is/was said with all sincerity.

I wish him all the best -

Re: “Don't forget to post the video of his show. I don't think I have missed one yet. Possible, but not probable. He is very talented.”

Thank you.

College performances are bit different from high school performances, and word tends to get back to the instructors if somebody records something that they aren't supposed to. With rare exception, none of the music performances are supposed to be recorded. Copyrights…

That said, I did record an entire one hour 50 minute performance of Bernstein's Mass (Leonard Bernstein composed West Side Story) in October. It's one act! Everyone's bladder was about to burst by the time it ended...

I'm still not sure what to do with the recording. It would be embarrassing for him if his instructor were to find out I'd captured the whole thing.

Perhaps I'll post it briefly... in which case I'll be sure to let you know. It has some really interesting scenes, but much of it is a sleeper. (There's a reason you probably haven't heard of it.)

Re: “JAPAN? Did you ever say why? If so, I missed it. Regardless of why he is going to Japan, it will be nice for him to "rest up" before leaving for his studies in Japan. I apologize that I do not remember your mentioning that.”

The "why" is that he's been fascinated with Japan and Japanese (the language) since Middle School. He was teaching himself the language for years. You might recall that he arranged, directed and performed 'Simple and Clean' (from a pretty popular game called 'Kingdom of Hearts) in 2016. At the end, he sings in Japanese: http://youtu.be/vzgE5_3zK-U (Get this: It's 13-part harmony He worked on the arrangement (sheet music for all the parts) for two months! !)

Why Japanese? I'm not sure. He considers it a beautiful language.

Re: “Seriously, I have been following him for years. Whenever you gents post something about your children, grandchildren or other family members, I do remember.”

That's really kind of you to say. Thanks!
