One of the things that takes some getting use to in New England is the quickly changing weather. I do mean weather, by the way, not 'climate.'
I went to sleep last night (I see from the listing of posts that it was around 3 a.m.) looking forward to a five hour break in rain predicted between noon and 5 PM. I woke at 6 AM and found the five hours had been reduced to two, and two nonconsecutive hours at that. No rain is predicted for 11 AM or 4 PM. Moreover, high winds (20 mph) are expected at 2:30 PM, with varying speeds predicted for most of the rest of the day.
In the summer months, I'd have enjoyed this. I'll work in rain, sun, wind, whatever, so long as I'm comfortable. But now that it's November, the combination of rain, wind, cold and mud are deal breakers. It's hard to get much done outdoors under such conditions.
Yeah, I can still work indoors, and I will. But it's not as much fun since the garage and house are still very cluttered.
