You will have a WORM farm in short order De!

They love rotting leaves and dirt, otherwise known as compost. I had a foot long night crawler come slithering out of the soil a few days ago from where I mixed leaves with the dirt last year. I spaded the dirt over and this monster was right there. That sucker was as big around as my finger.

I don;t like snakes at all AND I do not like LARGE worms either.... Something about them that sends chills up my spin.. No tingling feelings up my leg........ Wink

Re: “Been picking up leaves for over 40 days now. I think one more week they will be done. I pick them up with the bags on the back of the tractor. Lot easier than raking but LOL ”

I wanted leaves for my compost. Surprisingly, there were very few in my field. I had to go in the forest. I wound up raking 17 trash cans' full (the plastic, wheeled kind that most people put on the curb for pickup) and dumping them in the compost corral. It's suddenly gone from mostly grass to mostly leaves.

I might go get more later. If you garden, composted leaves are great.
