Good morning De!
You don't owe me or anyone any explanation. I understand well about the GovernmentSSSSS pulling, sucking is better description, the income I generate out of my accounts. I can''t make it fast enough either.
CHARITABLE giving is a personal decision by people who MAY be in a position to help others less fortunate, whether it be at Christmas Season with the Salvation Army Bell Ringers trying to provide toys and food for those who are in need and we have a chance to participate in that LOVE for others, or some catastrophic event happens.
In MY MIND (only), I tend to see things from strictly a Biblical perspective and that inner voice saying "we are all created in God's image" and that we are to treat others as we would want to be. Jesus said to LOVE our "neighbor" as much as we love ourself. That is the 2nd Greatest Commandment HE said.
Sometimes that is hard to do.. My neighbor is not very lovable. I have been unhappy with him for decades now..
Yet, if he needed something desperately and I am in position to help, I MUST come to his aid.
MY reward will be in Heaven and I am looking forward to being there. This world is temporary. If you don;t believe it, just go visit a cemetary and look at the dates of death of those there. THey will tell you how temporary this world is.
WHILE we are here I will do whatever I can with whatever GOD has blessed me with and entrusted to me.
THAT IS ME... THAT does not mean IT IS YOU or ANYONE ELSE . And I do not care nor judge anyone here or anywhere based on my beliefs and decisions I make.
CHarity is like FAITH. It is a personal decision and is between THAT individual and GOD alone..... Every one is different..... BUT salvation is only done on an INDIVIDUAL basis and an individual personal decision between that individual and GOD. So is charity....
I have no feelings one way or another about anyone and charity. I hope that those who do have something left over can and will help those who have lost everything...
Hope you have a wonderful and blessed day my friend!
