When I was in high school it was pretty much known among the guys as getting to "second base". I can attest most teenage boys were beyond interested in getting to second base and beyond.
I am pretty sure most girls knew what the boys had in mind, some even sent signals to encourage the boys. I can attest to that as well.
There were times the boys got to second base but then just moved on. I cannot attest to that. Some girls were guilty of the same attitude. It seemed most guys didn't care a whole lot if they got used, however mostly it seemed the girls that felt used got angry. For the most part, it was just part of growing up.
I have no idea what, if anything, happened 35 years ago between Kavanaugh and Ford. Kavanaugh and his alleged accomplice both deny it occurred. Ford's account seems a bit sketchy, both the alleged event and the way it has come to light. Ford is now a leftist activist, perhaps a social justice warrior. At any rate, it is possible she has a political agenda. That doesn't mean her allegations are false, just a fact that should be considered in the scheme of things.
Feinstein's tactics and the the timing of the story are also suspect. She sat on the story for two months, then unleashed it at the last moment.
That being said, I expect the requisite second accuser will of course surface with an equally dubious account and it will then be hailed as absolute confirmation of the first account.
The slime machine is relentless.
