"Drain the swamp" is NOT a catch-phrase that Democrats ought to use. After all, if liberal voters decide that that's something they want, they might just eliminate the middle man and cut to the chase by voting out the Democrats. For a Democratic politician, campaigning under "drain the swamp" is political seppuku.
There are plenty of swamp-dwellers among the Republicans too. That's why the Pfffarters get so excited when one of them is busted. But we all know that when it comes to government corruption and criminality, nobody competes with Democrats.
