...yep, instead of keeping the government on the straight an narrow they are busy exposing one party for imagined collusion and covering up for another that had actual provable undeniable collusion. The press is no longer part of the solution. They are part of the problem. I think this goes back further than who owns the press. I think it goes back to college (journalism) I recall a young journalism student being interviewed on the news once and she said she was majoring in journalism because she wanted to lead the way in helping the country. If ya want to lead the way in helping the country, be a fireman or a policeman or a soldier or a school teacher. Journalist are supposed to find the news and report it, not create it out of thin air nor report their OPINION as if it were the real news.

I don't think it's that so much as that today, nearly all of the media is owned by one of six entities, and they often operate in cahoots with one another to achieve their owners' political ends. There used to be enormous diversity in political reporting, including different stories and different takes on the same stories. Not so today.
