Unfortunately, I can't say that I agree. If you have many friends - and especially if you have many friends around the country or world - Facebook remains one of the best ways to stay in touch with them. It's particularly good for sharing videos and photos.

However, it's not as good as it used to be and it abuses its customers. I don't use my normal name, don't install FB apps or have a smart phone, and use care to post very little that Zuck might benefit from. HOWEVER, I'm aware of the fact that my mere presence encourages others to use FB and so I am indirectly helping him. Can't deny that.

I'm on the hunt for a quality alternative to FB. When I find one, I'll be gone.
