This past weekend they were gunning for a fight. All the misfits, the rebels looking for a cause, the angry young women and men who sign up for the fringe protest movements of the day.

On one side you’ve got the neo-Nazis and white nationalists. On the other, the leftist Antifa lunatics.

There was one problem, though, this time around.

On the first anniversary of the Charlottesville, Va., nonsense that tragically saw one young woman killed, hardly any neo-Nazis showed up.

All that pent-up rage and few targets to unleash it upon.

Meanwhile, in Charlottesville, NBC News correspondent Cal Perry and his cameraman were assaulted by a crowd that was, according to Perry, “almost exclusively Antifa at that point.” Additionally, many protesters tried to start conflicts with the police.

Things were even more absurd up here in Toronto. An organization called the Worldwide Coalition Against Islam had said it was going to show up at City Hall for a protest but pulled a no-show. Instead, as reports by my colleague Sue-Ann Levy detail, a number of counter-protesters filled the square, with many donning the now all too common black face mask.

When the Antifa loons spotted Sue-Ann, who was conducting interviews, they started chanting at her and then one unmasked man lunged at photographer Stan Behal, hitting at him, knocking his camera and stealing his hat.

It was plain obvious what happened and there were police standing right there watching. But they did nothing. And, as Sue-Ann told me later, one actually smiled.

Mayor John Tory released a statement denouncing it and encouraging Behal to contact the police. But Tory only did so after a formal request for comment from Sue-Ann. If he hadn’t been prodded, would the mayor have ignored the attack on the press?

So far, I’ve seen practically zero media professionals outside of Postmedia offer a condemnation of this assault. Yet contrast this with a week ago when CNN reporter Jim Acosta was covering a Trump rally and was interrupted by crowds heckling him and chanting “CNN sucks.”

“I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt,” Acosta posted to Twitter. “We should not treat our fellow Americans this way.”

This story did the rounds and everybody talked about it. So here’s Acosta getting extensive coverage for saying he’s worried journalists might get hurt, but when they actually do get assaulted there is comparable silence. The mental gymnastics of this boggle the mind.

We all know what’s really happening here. It’s all partisan games. Acosta was calling out Trump supporters, which is why he got play. But this past weekend’s attacks on journalists was done by leftists.

And the mainstream’s response feels like they’re all winking in tacit approval. Saying mean things to CNN? Bad. Actually attacking the Sun? Go for it.

Another photographer at the Sun told me Monday that he’s worried about this behaviour becoming normalized. If people can do this with impunity, then it will become something that’s done regularly at protests.

If Antifa violence isn’t vigorously denounced, it’ll only become worse.

Antifa Vows "Bullets" For Political Enemies; Media Ignores Threat

I realize this is InfoWars ... a site I usually take with a block of salt ... but, the photo below is worth a thousand words, in and of itself.

The mainstream media completely failed to report on Antifa members in DC yesterday, some of whom went on to assault police officers, carrying a banner which openly advertised their intention to put bullets in their political enemies.

Numerous video clips and photos show Antifa members carrying a large black banner which reads, "It takes a bullet to bash a fash."

Given that Antifa believes anyone right of Joseph Stalin to be a "fascist" (they literally carry Communist hammer and sickle flags), this is open incitement to violence against all conservatives.

Hmmm ... why shouldn't antifa carry Communist hammer and sickle flags ... they're part of the Democrat Party after all?! 

Zero mainstream media outlets have reported on the banner.

Another clip shows Antifa throwing objects at police officers. ...

Given these threats, is it any wonder that both the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI now treat Antifa as a domestic terror group?

Other observers pointed out that the media whipped up another moral panic over what amounted to about 25 idiots marching down a street in DC then going home.

Once again, the alt-right virtually has no platform other than that provided by the legacy media.

"Only 30 bozos showed up for this stupid Nazi rally," wrote John Noonan. "I've yet to hear a good reason for why this tiny squad of losers deserved millions worth of wall-to-wall media coverage, which amplified their message."

"It's worth examining what ideological and journalistic biases led to such wildly disproportionate coverage of a 'rally' that drew approximately 20 people," tweeted journalist Michael Tracey.

"Gatherings of UFO enthusiasts, witchcraft practitioners, and assorted religious cranks routinely draw exponentially more followers than 'Unite the Right' did today. The assumption that these people require constant national attention needs to be seriously re-calibrated," he added.

The question now remains; Why does the left continue to defend and embrace Antifa, and why does the mainstream media invoke panic over a couple of dozen drooling neo-nazi idiots, while refusing to even report on violent Antifa attacks on police, journalists and other innocent people, as well as the group carrying signs which openly incite bloody violence?

That's an easy answer ... because, despite what they say, the Democrat Party libtards and their rabid antifa curs are far more closely related to Nazis than those whom they label as such. The FAKE NEWS lamestream media is fulfilling the role of Joseph Goebbels and doing everything they can to incite their antifa brownshirts to riot. The libtards better be very careful what they wish for - they may get it back in spades. 

Meanwhile, Antifa made their ultimate goal clear, chanting, "no border, no wall, no USA at all."
