Replying to my earlier statement...

Re: “Looking at this photo, I doubt that the owner did this.”

I passed on the flatbed, and I'm no longer certain if the trailer was meant to have those wooden supports.

The seller wasn't there when I arrived - which was fine. The house was a real dive with all sorts of things strewn about the yard (a bad sign) and the door wide open (a worse sign). The trailer, once I found it, was fully loaded with heavy aluminum panels. Because of the panels, I couldn't even really look at it. What I could see wasn't good. The metal was corroded clean through in some places. The entire thing was newly painted and had fresh decking, so I think the owner found a rusty old trailer and splashed on some fresh paint and wood. He may have welded some pieces of it back together. When I put my foot on a metal side piece to test its strength, the piece BENT where it was attached, so I think it may have been poorly welded. I don't know if the aluminum panels were there to keep buyers from really seeing the thing, but they completed the picture and made the decision easy.

There was an old woman who eventually came out. She said 'Adam' was at some store and I could talk to him there. I told her to let him know that I'd stopped by and that the trailer wasn't going to meet my needs. Since I'd arrived a little early, I actually left just before I was even supposed to arrive.

I explained and thanked him via e-mail after I left.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Re: “so the owner removes 3/4, 75% of the Diamond plated STEEL and replaces it with wood?”

Looking at this photo, I doubt that the owner did this. I think it was designed this way, with wood beneath the steel, undoubtedly to make the trailer lighter and save the manufacturer some $$.

But you're right that it's a cheap construction that won't be as durable. I don't think I'll be buying it, but I do still want to see it.

Thank you again.
