Noooo. The survival of your 'democracy' does not depend on dilluting freedom of speech vis-a-vis its inclusion of conservative opinion. But I'll agree with you that the survival of the inroads you've made with your Neo-Communist ideology depends on stifling criticism. Now's as good a time as any to take a whirl at that, eh?
Let's hope that open alternatives to Facebook, Twitter and Google/Youtube surface soon.
It hasn't escaped my attention that Congressional democrats are suddenly drafting some sort of bill for the government's takeover of the internet. I'm not sure what it entails but I doubt the timing is coincidental. Having arranged for popular conservative viewpoints to be banned from some of the largest social media sites, it is now imperative in the minds of the Leftists that new internet sites do not arise to fill the voids being created. Having blocked conservative sources, new outlets they can use must not be allowed to surface. Hence, Democrats in Congress are trying to act. I wonder if the Republicans will be smart and strong enough to stop them.
That's my take.

‘Survival of our democracy’ depends on banning sites like InfoWars, Dem senator says
by Caitlin Yilek
The Washington Examiner
Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., is calling on other tech companies to ban more sites like InfoWars, and says the survival of American democracy depends on it.
“Infowars is the tip of a giant iceberg of hate and lies that uses sites like Facebook and YouTube to tear our nation apart. These companies must do more than take down one website. The survival of our democracy depends on it,” Murphy tweeted Monday.

In an earlier tweet, Murphy reasoned that private companies “shouldn’t knowingly spread lies and hate.”

I know Facebook and Apple and YouTube have gotten so big they sometimes seem like the government.
But they aren’t.
They are private companies that shouldn’t knowingly spread lies and hate. They took a good first step today by removing Infowars.
