Yep, sounds like a great idea..... ???????

There was a reason that trailer was DESIGNED the way it was with the steel plate that just happened to be diamond plate. I am not a fan of diamond plate, being in the steel manufacturing INDUSTRY for over 35 years. There are better options. But removing all that and using wood planks??

Let's see. The structural strength of real galvanized steel that should be powder coated with PRIMER after it was installed and then top coated with a Polyester gloss black would have kept corrosion away for a long time and this would have been heavier, but a lot more safe and structurally sound....

I don't know if I am missing something or not but that kind of bothers me....

I need a trailer for carting my tractor and brush hog back and forth between the two properties. I have to laugh, though, since it would mean that I'll now have FOUR trailers: The two house trailers, a cargo trailer that's been parked here since about 2008 (it has a 'Ron Paul For President' sticker on it), and now a flatbed. At this point, though, I could sell the cargo trailer. For moving furniture, etc., to the barn whenever it gets finished, I could use the flatbed. If it rains I'll gripe about having sold the cargo trailer, but otherwise I'll just suck it up and move things when the skies are clear.
