I bought compost from a lady up the street who makes it herself, and I was delighted when volunteer tomato plants began springing up all over my new garden. A friend came by and said, "Uh, those don't look like tomatoes."

Hmmm. You don't suppose they might be . . . ???? Nawwww. But the idea is still floating around in my head. After all, I'm just across the river from Vermont where such things are legal, and I really don't know the back story on that compost. I figure Nemo is an authority on this stuff and can tell me.
