...how long is the conduit? Ya might be able to use a fish tape or if it's too long for that a plumber might be able to clear it for ya. I have seen electricians use a cork with a needle in it and a small thread attached blown thru a conduit. When ya get it to the other end ya can use the thread to pull a larger string thru. Don't try to blow or suck a large cord thru the pipe to start with. If that fails, and if the conduit is big enough ya can tie a string around a kitten, stuff it in one end and put a can of sardines at the other. DGP will loan you a cat.

...if none of that works I will see if I can get Stormy Daniels phone number from the Donald.

I'm feeling a little bummed. A lot of things have been going wrong - including a new electrician who hasn't sent me a single update in a month and a homebuilder who just told me that his medical problems have worsened and he has to bow out of my project.

Today, the internet company came out and told me that the conduit from the street to my house lacks a drawstring so I have to call them out again when I've rectified the problem. I found the other end of the conduit and discovered that it was never capped and is full of water. I have no idea how I'm going to clear it. What's more, I fished a badly decomposed frog out of the conduit . . . which tells me that it is going to have almost 15 years of SEDIMENT clogging it up. @#%! Why does there have to be a hassle associated with every single project???

I spent an hour searching for my shop-vac and I can't find it. In theory, I can blow the water out of the pipe if I use the shop-vac at the street. I have a feeling that's not going to work, though. Water weighs a lot and air doesn't have a whole lot of pushing power.

If that works, pulling a drawstring through the conduit by putting the shop-vac into suction mode will be comparatively easy. If I can find the stupid thing, that is.
