...wells fargo used to be an armored car company. I think they are still in that business. I worked for a different armored car company. This was back in the 60's after I quit being a cop.
...back then the armored cars did not have air conditioning and the windows did not roll down. During the hot months of summer ya was stuck in that boiling hot vehicle all day long.
...back in those days ya had to have so many guards on the vehicles depending on how much money ya was carrying. This was to make the insurance company happy. The armored car folks would hire guards from rent a pig outfits and they always got whoever would work the cheapest. Their physical health and well being was of no concern.
...one hot summer day they got this guy who was a bit older than I am now to ride with us. He was so frail that we had to help him get in and out of the armored car. If there had been a robbery he would have been no use at all. They musta got him right out of a nursing home cause he smelled like urine.
...we got some lunch and he didn't have any money so we chipped in and bought him something to eat. We finished up at about the hottest part of the day and the freshly fed old man crapped in his pants. That was my last day on that job. Maybe I was a bit hasty, but I found working in an air conditioned telephone company office to be much more rewarding.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
