Those clips a;ways break DE, They are cheap just get more. And you will need the window gutter rail I think its called replaced. The rubber strip right on top of the door at the bottom of the window. !!

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

Re: “My 2004 chevy truck has over 230,000 miles. Still runs strong...”

LOL. My Chevy is only 3 years newer than yours. It has a hair over 50,000 miles but has a lot of little problems. I need to get around to working on a few of them. Water gets into the doors when it rains, so the door speakers and electric window controls have corroded, particularly on the driver side. I have to get the door panels off. The last time I tried, one of the clips that holds the panel broke instead of detaching and it caused me to cancel the project. Now I've got more time and would be willing to give it another try.

Getting the panels off is not a simple task. There are youtube videos showing how, but I have yet to see one that is exactly like the panels on my Silverado.
