I've said this before.
As soon as the government grants itself the authority
to enact socialism the rich and powerful will use
those levers of authority to enrich themselves (and
their friends) and impoverish everybody else.
Just look at former President Barak Obama and his
green energy scam. Tens of Billions of dollars to
his campaign contributors for pretending to be green
energy companies . . . they all went bankrupt and
guess who is left paying for it.
