zzshart's clueless response to OCU would be somewhat humorous for its sweeping stupidity if not for the tragic, historical precedent that he is too willfully blind to see.

zzshart, your education is extremely lacking, lil' tyke. Before the Sturmabteilung goose-stepped and the panzers rolled freely down German streets, the Nazis disarmed the German citizens by confiscating personally owned firearms. Even the Nazis feared an armed populace, so it's a damn good thing that we cherish and defend our inalienable rights under the Second Amendment.

... by his very own reflection in the mirror ... and well he should be.

OCU has been conditioned by his leftist betters to stupidly believe there is a difference between Fascism and Communism.

Newsflash for ya, OCU ... the only difference is the name you put on the label ... everything is the same underneath those labels - Statism. Statists, such as yourself and your fellow Democrats, believe government is good. Classical liberals like us believe that government is a necessary evil

Statists, because they believe government is inherently good, always want more of it ... "the finest and the brightest" gravitate to government; therefore, they should be given the power to control what they "wisely" determine to be the "baser instincts" of the "lesser citizens." Classical liberals believe that the inalienable rights of individual citizens - all individual citizens - reign supreme ... and because government is inherently incompetent and prone to corruption ... strict limitations should be placed on the operations of government.

The Statist motto is "Live and let us control - because we arrogantly believe that we know what's best for everyone." You love Big Government - because you want it to take care of you from cradle to grave. The motto for Classical liberals is "Live and let live." We expect everyone to be responsible adults and make their own way in this world. Sure, we're more than willing to lend a helping hand when warranted, but we don't suffer leeches looking to be taken care of from cradle to grave.

So, what it truly boils down to OCU is Big Government (Statism, Fascism, Communism, Socialism, Marxism, etc.) or individual freedom. The problem for you Statists, OCU, is that we Classical Liberals don't need you ... BUT, you Statists can't exist without us ... the responsible, productive people you crave to control and to fleece to fund the indolent lifestyle to which you want to become accustomed.

C.S. Lewis spoke of Statists like you, OCU ....

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."
