That was the way sugar was when we got her BUT she liked guys. When we got her we put her in her carrier in the back seat opened the door and after a while she came up front and laid in my lap. She had it rough where she came from. She had to fight for everything she got. It took years of , in the middle of the night she would jump wiggles and go ballistic on him. She finally calmed down from that. Its all where they came from and what they had to deal with there. A LOT of patience for sure.............
Just lay on the ground DE and let Kirmit come to you. Dont force it...... Let him smell you and give you a lick or two on the face. Just keep a positive, secure demeanor about YOU. Dogs can sense all kinds of feelings......
