So nice of you to do all that for your mother and your daughter both!

You only go thru this life one time. Great job and hope you are able to catch up with a little bit of rest.

Fantastic job sir!!!

Bravo!

I just got home last night after being gone for eight weeks. We spent five weeks in Miami, helping my mother move into a retirement center in Tampa, then returning and trying fix up her house.

The house was so full of stuff we hardly knew where to start. She keeps EVERYTHING. Or instance, at 88, she still has all of her report cards from school and all of her performance reviews from when she was working.

When we moved her to Tampa we rented (and filled) a 15' U-haul truck. All this to move into a 500 sf apartment.

Then we went back to Miami and started painting, replacing doors and various other tasks. One of my brothers was there for a week but my other brother hasn't had time, yet.

We will have to go back again to have one big yard sale, then we will probably have to call in contractors to get it ready for the market. It is just too hard to do a remodel project 2500 miles away from home.

Besides the Miami house, we helped our daughter buy her first car and move her out of her dorm for the summer. The only fun we had was on a seven day 'Western Caribbean' cruise out of Galveston.

It is good to be home.
