But, if I was you . . . Sis being the executor, unless
I REALLY needed a share of the money from the sale
(and was expecting to get it) I believe I'd just
'write it off'. As in tell myself that if I get
anything at all it will be a gravy bonus. And cease
to worry about it at all.
Way back around 1984 or so I began the process to get
divorced. 'She' was in the apartment and I was not
so I 'wrote off' all my stuff that was in the apartment.
I slept much better that way.
Two months later when they tossed her out of the apartment
(I assume for not paying the rent - I wasn't going to
and she couldn't) the complex called me and told me I
had one day to get my stuff out. . . .
A bonus that I got anything back at all . . . But things
were missing. Like the suit coat for my suit. My college
text books and notebooks (she probably sold them), two
of the display chips from my microprocessor trainer
(I bought new ones), the centerboard for a cheap snark
sailboat (Dad and I made a new one from plexiglass -
worked better than the original plywood one). Things
like that.
Like I said, write it off.
