I've been here for two weeks and have a week to go. So far, I've emptied the house, interviewed and made selections for plumber, realtor, garage door replacement, pest/rot inspection and painter. Still trying to pick a new carpet.
Plumbing, garage door replacement and pest inspection are done. Home repair is underway (thankfully no termite damage). Exterior painting will probably begin in a day or two. Carpeting will be the final step and may happen after I'm gone.
The kitchen cabinets will stay as they are. I'll give the buyer a $20k discount over what similar models with new kitchens have been selling for. Thankfully, it's a hot seller's market, and the house is in great proximity to elementary, middle and high schools (all within a half mile, with one being at the end of the street.) I think it will sell quickly.
I can't wait to get out of this foul state.
