Are we back on the Gold Standard yet???

THAT would be a good first step. OUR Gold. Not everyone else's. JMO.

Or we could do a platinum standard . Even rarer than Gold, And more valuable...

Agreed. Deflation spooks the Fed, however. They have no tools with which to control it. (You've seen how long Japan has been combating deflation. About twenty years.)
