Yes I have. It does not touch the sciatic pain caused by the directly pinched sciatic nerve. The growth that is pinching it called a synovial cyst has to be removed and gotten off the nerve.
I have some Salonpas roll on lidocaine I bought. It helps with some aches and pains elsewhere though.....
