I have tried to be patient and hold and engage in order to achieve a dialogue and see what addressing nicely does. It helped. Not a lot, but some.
ZZ is foreign. He does not grasp English very well.
I do like historical GREECE and its former contributions to the world.. I enjoyed the pictures he provided as well.
SO maybe, the way to chat with ZZ is to simply stay off the political discourse and talk about other things we all like. Common ground.
What you think???? I grow tired of the non-stop grudge matches. Maybe I am just getting too old, although Ribs still has some fire left in him, but he can use his humor to full advantage.
Just wanted to thank you for your excellent posts there regarding the Supreme COurt ruling and on the M-16.
Ribs stated once that he did not get one when he was in.
My unit did. But I was a few years behind him as well.
I wonder sometimes if we could engage ZZ with a little more patience and softer tones if we could ever get him to actually do some reading on his own, even if we post the reading material for him...
I give him credit for engaging and a few times he was actually nice to me... I guess nobody really likes to be berated and humiliated constantly... even if they do bring it on themselves....
