Georgia's Republican Lt. Governor, Casey Cagle, said Monday he will ground any tax legislation that helps Delta Airlines because the company stopped giving discounts to members of the National Rifle Association, as The Hill reported.
Atlanta-based Delta is one of several major corporations to sever ties with the NRA since the deadly Florida school shooting. Others include car rental companies, Hertz, Enterprise, and Alamo, as well as Met Life, Symantec, Life Lock, and First National Bank of Omaha.
In a statement issued later, Cagle, who is running for governor this year, accused the companies who split with the NRA of discriminating "against conservatives and law-abiding gun owners."
