Funny you should say that.
When I printed out my report yesterday I also printed
out the trailing P/E (from Yahoo - which is not as good
as it used to be).

Dominion Resources (D) P/E 15.35
OGE (Oklahoma utility) P/E 16.41

Clorox (CLX) = 24, Cracker Barrel (CBRL) = 20

The worst I own some of is Coca Cola (KO) at 45.

AT&T (T) is 8 and Pfizer (PFE) is 10.4

Do I own the wrong stuff?
(Or am I doing what I did in 1999 - avoiding the high
flying tech stocks.)

By the way,
Why did I say Yahoo Finance was not what it used to be?
Used to be I could look at the div/share column and
it was accurate - showing me that the dividend was
about to go up. Lately the numbers seem to be below
what I just got a check for.

I am no market guru by any stretch of the imagination.

However,
the Market is in dire need of a correction. It is OVERBOUGHT and over priced.

Fundamentals actually do matter. You've been around investing long enough to appreciate that fact.

Look at PE ratios for example. Look at Profits or lack thereof.

At what point will the pixie dust of these exploding stocks with absolutely no profits but plenty of red ink .
THAT cannot continue. It is fake and artificial.

In my humble opinion, this market overall needs to adjust in a major league way. This was created under OBAMMY administration and is artificial and nothing there to actually sustain or support it.

I only buy companies that are profitable, showing real earnings, and growth.

That is why I like Huntington Bank, a smaller regional Bank that is very profitable and well managed. Just an example.

Anyway, I can see this whole overbought and overpriced market adjusting itself. It needs to.

JMO FWIW,

micro....Very Happy
