The top of the hill deserves to have something on it. I'm thinking a gazebo and some picnic tables. The view is amazing from there. I'm really looking forward to spending the night there (as in, camping) sometime. My vacation house has good stargazing (it's easy to see the Milky Way) but there is some light pollution in the direction of Vermont. The new property should be better but I don't yet know if any city light can be seen. I'm hoping that it gets dark dark DARK. I've already got a decent reflector telescope. I may be have to get a better one.
BTW, there is another full solar eclipse coming in... I forget... 2020 or 2022. Totality will occur eighty miles from my place. Yeah, I'll be making the trip to see it.
