The trailer court was small. It had bathrooms with showers attached to the office. Just outside, it had big metal sinks with hot and cold water. That's where we washed our dishes.
The ground of the trailer court was gravel. It must have been three or four inches deep, and I always ran around in it barefoot. By the time we moved away and headed to California, you'd have had a hard time telling the bottom of my feet from shoe leather.
Ah, good times. I was eight so it wasn't a big deal. A truck tire was my favorite toy... In fact, my only toy. Rent was $30/month, so that's why my parents liked it.
