Here's the interior with most of the changes - except that the whole thing would be a mirror image of what I've posted.
I've shown it with the exterior Master Bedroom wall e extended by 4 feet. That will add about 100 sqft to the house. If we go with this plan, we'll probably push the wall over 8 feet. I don't think anything is load-bearing, so that should be possible. That will give us a 17 x 21.5 foot Master bedroom - which is pretty big.
Since the kitchen is tiny, we'll likely make it bigger as well. I've shown how in the drawing.
We'll relocate the Master bedroom's entrance to come off of the dining room since my wife hates having it accessible from the foyer, and we may give the bedroom a sliding glass door so that there's a way out if there's ever a fire. The coat closet at the home's entryway will also be moved and made bigger.
And a 28 foot, full height Trumbe wall will be built where bedrooms 2 and 3 share a wall. It may extend into the basement - making for a really high wall. I'll have to discuss it with the architect. Maybe ONLY the basement will have the wall.
That should do it. The basement will be finished and about 200 sqft larger than shown in the original plan.
