First I married my wife. After a few years, she got tired of taking dictation. Then I bought Dragon Naturally Speaking. It's a good program. Not perfect, but I'm happy with it.
I've never used the speech recognition that's built into Windows. Sorry... but I expect there's a reason why nobody uses it.

I am trying to get the speech to text working on windows 7. Its built it. Its like the computer isn't hearing everything I say and types words I don't say. I tried going through all the stuff in speech recognition and cant get it to hear what I say. I turned volume up made sure mute was off. You bought a program for this didnt you??
