It is brand new track, ties and the ballast underneath. I have been watching them for 4 years rebuilding this line. and the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ spent on it LOL

Well, just because it was this train service's inaugural run doesn't necessarily mean that it was running on brand new track. It could be brand new track ... I don't know ... but, it could be possible that it is existing track that has been there for a long, long time.
