AT my house, mrs. micro has done a remarkable job of shopping, helping the local economy, and wrapping lots of presents which are now stacked three feet high around a Babylonian Bush that has lights on it.
My mind has gone back to what the real message of Christmas is all about.
As we pass out gifts in our giving to others, let us remember and keep in mind that our presents and gifts pale in comparison to all what God has given as a gift to every person ever born.
John 3: 16 states it clearly: For God SO LOVED the world (everyone in it, ever born) that He GAVE HIS ONLY begotten SON....."
that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish (die and be tossed into hell) but have EVERLASTING Life".
GOD gave the GREATEST GIFT to all mankind, Jesus Christ.
It happened in a stable in Bethlehem so many years ago but the GIFT was everlasting, and is renewed daily and still offered to any and all who would ACCEPT that GIFT from the Creator of all..
Our gift giving pales in comparison. BUT it is supposed to represent and remind us of that priceless, eternal Gift Gift that God the FATHER gave to all mankind for all eternity. He gave ALL. For US to redeem us to HIMSELF through the shed blood of HIS SON on a Roman cross which was sufficient offering to God to pay for the sins of every human ever born who would trust and take the offering Christ made for us that day....
Jesus said "I stand at the door (heart) and knock. If any man hear and let me in, I will abide with HIM and HE in me".
SO as I look upon the heaps of wrapped presents in my living room, I am reminded that GOD LOVED me so much, even as bad as I am, to offer up HIS OWN SON to die a horrible death, so that HE might redeem my sinful self back to HIS fellowship and into HIS kingdom when my Spirit departs this body to be with HIM forever.
I look forward to that day.... I cannot wait to see Jesus face to face and feel HIS LOVE. To say thank you a million times and still, it will be a trillion times to little.
SO think about the GIFT that GOD gave you this Christmas, which is not in a box under a tree, yet HE is standing at the door of our hearts, waiting patiently for us to Let HIM in and give us the eternal gift of Life with HIM.
May the Lord bless you this blessed Lord's day is my heart's desire for all.
God Bless you richly,
micro....
