De,
The pipe needs to run down - losing altitude.
(Water flows downhill.)

Good idea. Solar panels to make watts by day, and
the pond and water turbine generator for making
watts at night.

You can also use the pond for swimming, fishing, and
with a water purifier your drinking water needs.

Re: “I will see yas at the gate when SHTF LOL”

I've seen all that lawn where you are now. It's obviously a good location. Looks pretty rural. Does it have a garden? A 50 x 50 garden can produce a LOT of food.

BTW, I had an idea this week for generating power. If I dam up the "swimming pool" at my field... the place where the trickle of water seeps from the mountain... I can run a pipe from the dam to some place down my driveway, with the pipe gaining altitude as goes, then release the water vertically to power a turbine. The water will end up in the same creek channel as it already uses, so there won't be an environmental impact. But I'll have free electricity...

Now, the creek goes dry every August, but if I have a pond, I might be able to keep the thing running year round.

Well, it's one more project. I think it's got more potential than either solar cells or my windmill.

My wife also bought me THIS for my birthday. Lots of neat things to do.... though many of the projects are VERY small. Many will take an hour, not a week.
