Yeah, there used to be a similar website where you could bid on firearms - $1 per bid. So, when I first looked at it, years ago, it appeared to me (and probably to everyone else, as well!) that one could simply wait until right before the scheduled closing time for any particular auction. So, I sat back and watched a few auctions in process. If there were any bids in the last 15 seconds, the closing time would get pushed back a few minutes - therefore, if it was a desirable item, the auction would go on indefinitely and the website would continue to rake in money. I decided that this was just a big scam and didn't want to have anything to do with it.
For the past year or so, I've seen these DealDash commercials on TV and knew it was the same disingenuous crap. I always laugh when I see the fat woman on their commercial saying, "I WON!!!" Yeah, right ... it's DealDash who WON!!! ... because they aren't showing the hundreds (maybe thousands?) of other bidders on that particular auction who could easily stand up there and say, "I LOST!!!"
If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
