Where are you hearing that? I'm hearing that it's down. ESPN is losing its shirt.
Of course, there are about twice as many games televised as there used to be. Maybe total viewership is up for that reason, but viewership per game is significantly down.

On a side note, it's interesting stadiums are half empty, but tv viewership's up around 20%. I'm figuring folks don't want to be seen going to a game, in solidarity with real Americans who protest the NFL. But they're just dying to see the games, so they sneak a look on tv. Just guessing.
