I bought a drone, too. And seeds I'll never use, speaking of addictive. That was only a dollar.
I thought it would be fun to use it to look at the back pond or at the beach, off season. We have two small ponds, one by the road coming into the community and another accessible from the walking/biking trail around the place. The one in the back has been allowed to grow over, so you can't get a good look at it from shore. Seems like a good candidate.
The one I got didn't have an LED, so I can't see where I'm pointing the camera or even steer it, unless its line-of-site. I wouldn't want to fly it around the condos, so I guess I'll give it to my brother in law or nephew, whoever wants to play with it. I also couldn't get it to work with the battery inside the enclosure. They'll be able to get it going, no doubt.
When I first saw drones on tv I was thinking how cool it would be to fly one over the Grand Canyon or other tourist spots and take pictures. It adds a new dimension to photography. But the drones that do that and get good movies are mucho expensive. This one's a fun toy to get your feet wet with.
Since then, I have seen one with an LCD come up now and then, but I'm out of the market, lol.
Your controller looks nicer than mine, everything's more easily accessible.
