Her condition is called "supraventricular tachycardia." It is a type of fibrillation affecting the ventricles instead of the atria.

It's a short in the wiring. And, no, they didn't push her to have a cardiovert. (I had to look that up! I didn't know what it was.) They're able to control her condition with medication. Mostly. When she isn't abruptly collapsing onto her face and reminding me how long it's been since I bought her flowers, that is.
