Perception is Reality
Kind of fits with the belief that you shouldn't bother trying to change perceptions of ideologues on the left and right. Both sides go after the independents who they think they can sway. Of course the left has gone a step further to go after the ignorant masses -- illegal immigrants, refugees and such.
...I used to have a supervisor who said, and firmly believed that "Perception is Reality". That being said, it doesn't matter who hacked them or even if they were not hacked at all. What does matter is who the great unwashed believes hacked them. In this case, perception is reality.
